I feel blessed every day that the coolest, hottest, most talented people support my work. Bad Bitch Contest is a series of interviews with (excuse to talk to) these incredible babes.
This week, Ashlee’s in first place. Ashlee is an original #bossbabe, badass momma, and the creative genius behind Crafts & Arts — clothing she designs, drafts, and creates by hand in her Austin, Texas living room.
Find her in her element:
What does being a feminist mean to you? To me, being a feminist means that I get choose how to make my way in the world. I can be a successful work-from-home momma and a powerhouse babe full of ideas and magic. As a feminist, as a woman, as a human—I have the freedom to make my own choices. I’m allowed to conduct my life without judgments.
Describe the raddest thing you’ve done in your Eythink shirt. I’ve gotten really comfortable wearing it to places where I know there will be other moms throwing major shade. My IDFCIYLI shirt is pretty empowering (and totally speaks for itself - and me) in situations like that. It’s basically helped bring out my inner bad bitch.
What does your perfect day look like? Is it terrible that "16 hours of uninterrupted Sims 2 gameplay" was the first thing that popped into my head? That, or actually being able to sleep in then spending the entire day at the Drafthouse, drowning myself in loaded fries and 512 Pecan Porter. I’m clearly an easy person to please.
If they were making a movie about your life what would the genre be? What would it be called? Who would play you? It would be a super low budget indie flick. The title would be the weary face and sparkles emojis, and I would be played by Stacey Dash circa 1995.
Come see Lindsay (me. Eythink.) and Ashlee of Crafts & Arts this Sunday from 11am – 5pm at CraftHER at Fair Market in Austin!
